Lighting Up Every Event
The Metro Toronto Convention Centre is known for providing a premium experience for virtually any kind of event that comes through their doors. A space adaptable and accommodating to host anything from galas to trade shows called for an equally flexible integration in their upgrade project.
Our solution was a full building Lighting Management System, with a virtual Touch Panel that allows both operations in building security and immediate access to lighting controls building-wide. The pictorial navigation menus add additional ease-of-use for end users to quickly navigate the lighting controls without having prior knowledge of the control system.

Parliament Hill
A Mission to Preserve Yet Modernize the Capital
In 2014, Crossey Engineering and Field Service Canada joined forces to design and install a state-of-the-art lighting control system for the Westblock Rehabilitation Project.
With a focus on energy efficiency, the system includes over 300 occupancy sensors, daylight harvesting and ambient light detectors, allowing the building to operate in an automated fashion. The ETC Paradigm Lighting Control system adjusts lighting levels throughout the day, ensuring that daylight harvesting and security light levels are maintained.
To accommodate for future expansion across Parliament Hill, special campus-wide networks were designed. This will allow for the next 20 years of rehabilitation to culminate in a campus-wide lighting management system. The lighting control system is equipped with ETC Unison Paradigm LightDesigner, ETC Echo Relay Panel, and a Pathway Network, ensuring reliability and ease of use.
From the special security infrastructure to the redundant control system, this project is a true testament to the integration of modern AV technology in historic buildings.
